Eco-friendly refrigerant blend boosts cooling efficiency, slashes energy costs.
The study looked at how mixing refrigerants R134A and R404A can improve the performance of a compression refrigeration system. By blending these refrigerants in specific ratios, the system showed better efficiency and lower environmental impact compared to using them separately. The researchers analyzed various performance measures like compressor efficiency, cooling capacity, and mass flow rate. They found that the exact blend of these refrigerants can increase the system's Coefficient of Performance (COP) and reduce ozone depletion potential. This means that by carefully selecting the right mixture of refrigerants, we can make refrigeration systems more effective and environmentally friendly.
