New Land Configuration and Weed Management Boost Urdbean Crop Yield!
The study looked at how different ways of arranging the land and managing weeds can affect the growth of urdbean plants. They found that using broad bed furrows instead of flat beds led to higher grain yield and better plant growth. Among the weed management methods tested, using pendimethalin followed by imazethapyr resulted in the highest grain yield and economic returns for urdbean crops. This suggests that using broad bed furrows and this specific weed management approach can help farmers grow more urdbean efficiently.
