New study reveals critical low-flow conditions in Kaua‘i streams
The goal of the study was to understand how much water flows in streams in southeast Kaua‘i under natural conditions. Researchers looked at nine main streams and found that the amount of water varied from 0.018 to 69 cubic feet per second. They also measured water gains and losses in eight of the nine study areas. Some streams had more water than others, and some measurements were not possible due to lack of data.
