The gender wage gap in developing countries was studied using data from 12 countries. The researchers found that women generally earn less than men, with the pay difference decreasing as earnings increase. This gap is mainly due to differences in education levels and the impact of motherhood on women's wages. Improving women's education, training, and implementing family-friendly work policies are key factors in reducing the gender wage gap in developing countries.
