The researchers studied plant diversity in different elevations in the Ardabil province, Iran. They found that certain plant families and species were more common at specific elevations. The abundance of edible plants decreased with higher elevation, while less edible plants increased. This variation in plant distribution could be due to factors like habitat availability, human impact, or natural disturbances.
