Organic Farming Boosts Sweet Corn Yields, Transforming Food Security
The researchers studied how different nutrient management methods affect the growth and yield of sweet corn. They tested seven treatments in a field experiment and found that using a combination of fertilizers, organic matter, vermicompost, and Azospirillum bacteria led to the best results. This approach increased plant height, number of leaves, dry matter, leaf area, green cob yield, and green fodder yield of sweet corn compared to other methods tested.
