Groundnut farmers boost yields and nutrition with bio-fertilizers and smart fertilizer use.
The study looked at how different types of fertilizers affect the growth and nutrient content of summer groundnut plants. They tested inorganic fertilizers at different levels and bio-fertilizers with Rhizobium spp. and PSB. The results showed that using 125% of the recommended inorganic fertilizer led to higher nutrient content and yield compared to lower levels. Similarly, using the bio-fertilizers with Rhizobium spp. and PSB also increased nutrient content and yield of the groundnut plants. Overall, the study found that the type and amount of fertilizer used can significantly impact the nutrient levels and yield of summer groundnut crops.
