Vulnerable nations lead renewable energy revolution, carbon taxes lag behind
Climate change is a big problem caused by greenhouse gas emissions from burning fossil fuels. To fight this, we need more renewable energy like solar and wind power. A study looked at data from 118 countries and found that places with less carbon pollution and more vulnerable to climate change use more renewable energy. Surprisingly, having a carbon tax doesn't seem to make a big difference. So, countries are more likely to use renewable energy when they rely less on fossil fuels and have policies that encourage clean energy.
