The wetland bird community at Taolimiao-Alashan Nur in Inner Mongolia, China is crucial for the survival of the Relict Gull Ordos population. The birds found there represent the characteristics of wetland bird communities in the desert. The study assessed the wetland habitat according to the Ramsar Convention criteria, suggesting that Taolimiao-Alashan Nur could be an important wetland site in China.
