The Barcelona “Trade Buildings” from the 1960s need energy refurbishment to meet modern environmental standards. A study was done to evaluate the energy efficiency of these glazed buildings and propose sustainable solutions. The main factors affecting energy consumption are users, building envelope, and mechanical systems. By analyzing energy usage and simulating improvements, strategies like insulation and shading were suggested to enhance energy efficiency while preserving the building's modern appearance.
