Revolutionary Filtration System Cleans Eutrophic Lake, Restoring Public Access
The goal was to clean up a polluted lake by testing a floating filter made of special fabric. Different types of fabric were used to see which worked best at removing algae and other pollutants from the water. The filter was very effective, removing most of the dirt and nutrients from the lake water. It also helped reduce the amount of harmful chemicals and algae in the water, making it safe for swimming and drinking. This study shows that using fabric filters can be a good way to improve the quality of lakes and other small bodies of water.
