A new distribution called Generalized Weibull-generalized Exponential Distribution was created by combining two existing distributions. The researchers used a method called maximum likelihood estimation to find the distribution's parameters and applied it to a real dataset on air conditioning system failures. The results showed that the new distribution performed better than other existing ones in analyzing the data.
