New Study Reveals Impact of Runoff on Agricultural Watershed in India
The researchers used a model to estimate runoff in a watershed with black cotton soil in India. They combined rainfall, land use, soil data, and GIS to calculate the runoff. The results showed that 33.66% of the annual rainfall in the area becomes runoff, with peak months having an average runoff depth of 41.77 mm. This information can help plan conservation measures for similar watersheds.
