Optimal Phosphorus and Iron Levels Boost Chickpea Growth and Profits!
The study looked at how different levels of phosphorus and iron affect the growth and yield of chickpeas. They tested nine treatments with varying amounts of these nutrients and found that using 60 kg/ha of phosphorus and 6 kg/ha of iron resulted in the best growth and economic outcomes. This treatment led to the tallest plants, highest plant dry matter, and the best crop growth rate. It also gave the highest gross return, net return, and benefit-cost ratio, making it the most productive and economically feasible option for growing chickpeas.
