New herbicide combo boosts maize yield by 78% while slashing weeds.
A study was done to see how different herbicides affect weeds and maize growth. They tested 11 treatments on maize fields, including using atrazine and tembotrione. The best results came from using atrazine followed by tembotrione, which greatly reduced weed growth and increased maize yield. This treatment had a weed control efficiency of 78% and led to a high grain yield of 6.24 tons per hectare, similar to fields without weeds. So, using atrazine followed by tembotrione is a good way to control weeds and boost maize production.
