Scientists have developed a way to estimate how easily water moves through soil without directly measuring it. They studied 70 soil samples from 37 locations to create a method that predicts soil water conductivity at a specific pressure level. This new approach helps understand water movement in soil without needing to do difficult and time-consuming measurements.
