The study analyzed the composition of fuel made from trash in Latvia and Lithuania. They found that the fuel had more plastic but less paper and cardboard than usual. The fuel met standards for the third class of solid recovered fuel. To improve the fuel quality, it is suggested to separate organic waste to reduce moisture and ash content and increase heating value.
