The article discusses the history of forest reclamation in Ukraine, focusing on four stages of development. Initially, forest plantations were used to improve the environment and agricultural growth. The second stage saw a significant increase in field afforestation on a national scale. However, the third stage showed a decrease in protective forest plantations, leading to instability.
