The researchers tested different chemicals to clean up dirty water from a natural stone factory. They found that using a certain chemical at a high pH level of 12 removed almost all the dirt from the water. This method worked best with the non-ionic chemical, which removed almost 100% of the dirt. Other chemicals also worked well at pH 12, removing over 90% of the dirt.
