Unemployment in Limpopo Province not linked to economic growth, policies ineffective.
The study looked at how economic growth and unemployment are related in Limpopo Province, South Africa. They used data from 2008-2018 and different models to analyze the relationship. The results showed that changes in economic growth do not cause changes in unemployment, and vice versa. This means that when the economy improves, it doesn't necessarily mean fewer people will be unemployed. The findings suggest that the province's high unemployment rate may be due to structural or frictional issues, and that current economic policies may not be effective in reducing unemployment.
