Colored Rice Boosts Weight Loss in Diabetic Rats, Red Variety Reigns
The study tested different colored rice types to see if they could help diabetic rats. They used extracts or whole rice in the rats' diets for a month. Brown rice had the most antioxidants, followed by black and red rice. Rats that ate rice gained weight, with red rice causing the most weight gain and white rice causing the least. Black and brown rice were also helpful for the rats.
