The researchers studied when to harvest eggplant seeds for optimal germination. They found that seeds matured around 46 days after the eggplant flowered, with Black Beauty seeds having 87% germination and Hangchat seeds having 74.1% germination. The best germination rates were seen at 55 days after flowering, with both cultivars reaching 93% germination.
