Environmentally and Charitably Responsible Airlines Boost Flight Attendants' Authenticity and Performance
The study looked at how flight attendants perceive the authenticity of their airline's corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities and how this perception affects their behavior. They found that environmental and charitable CSR activities significantly influence flight attendants' perception of CSR authenticity. Moreover, when flight attendants see CSR as authentic, they are more likely to engage in positive communication and show customer-oriented behavior. To enhance CSR authenticity perception among flight attendants, airlines should establish transparent and ongoing CSR practices, involve flight attendants in CSR activities, and provide various benefits to encourage their participation.
