Debtor Information Systems Key to Preventing Fraud in Islamic Banks.
The article discusses how Islamic People's Financing Banks in Aceh Province are working to improve their debtor information systems to reduce non-performing loans. By implementing regulations on Anti Money Laundering and Prevention of Terrorism Funding, these banks aim to enhance their competitiveness and protect their capital. The study found that 68.3% of the banks have operational procedures in place and are running them effectively, while 31.7% have regulations but need to improve their implementation. The main obstacle identified is the need for more thorough communication with all parties involved, including bank debtors, to ensure successful implementation of these regulations.
