Forest dwellers in South Western Nigeria were surveyed about threats to sustainable forest management. The study found that logging, failure to replant trees, and other factors like urbanization and poaching are major threats to the forests. Most respondents believed that forest resources are either increasing or remaining constant, but some observed a decline. The researchers recommend government programs to conserve forests and enforce sustainable management practices to protect forest resources for future generations.
