Indigenous Knowledge Key to Saving Marine Biodiversity Post-2020 Global Framework.
The article discusses how Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities have valuable knowledge about marine and coastal ecosystems. They have been conserving biodiversity through their traditional practices. The international community recognizes their important role in protecting nature. The article suggests 10 actions to involve these communities in conservation decisions. It also proposes a new goal for post-2020 to support community-based conservation efforts and traditional knowledge for long-term biodiversity conservation.
