UV-B Light Reduces Cucumber Growth, Alters Photosynthesis in Different Light Colors
The study looked at how different types of light affect cucumber plants when exposed to UV-B radiation. They found that UV-B combined with blue light decreased plant growth and photosynthesis efficiency, while UV-B with red light increased photosynthesis rate. Green light with UV-B had mixed effects, and plants under this combination had higher levels of certain pigments. Overall, the research shows that the spectral composition of light influences how plants respond to UV-B radiation.
