Coastal erosion and accretion can change beach profiles over time. A study in Kuala Terengganu used satellite images and GPS to measure erosion and accretion rates. They found that areas with steeper beach slopes had higher rates of erosion and accretion. The highest erosion rate was 170.29 m²/year, while the lowest was 57.53 m²/year. Understanding these processes is important for managing coastal areas sustainably.
