The article examines how reinsurance failures impact Dutch insurers. By analyzing reinsurance exposures, the researchers found no systemic risk in the Netherlands. However, the non-life insurance industry is vulnerable to a crisis in the European reinsurance market. Smaller insurance groups are particularly at risk.
