Islamic banks were studied to see how financially strong they are compared to commercial banks. Small Islamic banks are usually stronger than small commercial banks, but large commercial banks are stronger than large Islamic banks. Small Islamic banks are also stronger than large Islamic banks, possibly because big Islamic banks struggle with managing credit risks. The presence of Islamic banks in the market doesn't affect the financial strength of other banks.
