Regional trade cooperation in East Africa has positively impacted trade growth between Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda from 1970 to 2001. The researchers used a gravity model approach to analyze the trade patterns over the past three decades. The results show that the East African Cooperation agreement has led to increased trade between the three economies.
