Tomato growers thrive with new contract incentives, boosting production outcomes!
The study looked at how contracts between tomato growers and processors affect tomato production in California. They analyzed data from 51 processors and found that incentives in contracts have a big impact on how well tomatoes are grown. Different types of incentives work together to improve production outcomes. Even after considering many other factors, there is still a lot of variation in production that can't be explained. Overall, the study shows that the incentives in contracts play a significant role in tomato production.
