The article looks at how free trade agreements in East Asia affect trade between countries. They used a model to analyze the impact of three main agreements. The results show that the ASEAN agreement helps increase trade within the region and with other countries. However, the agreements with China and South Korea haven't had much impact on trade in East Asia so far.
