The article examines if demand and supply shocks in Polish regions are balanced and predicts future risks. By using a specific method to estimate GDP, the researchers found that shocks are mostly symmetrical and the chance of imbalanced shocks is low. The differences in production structures do not seem to strongly influence shock asymmetry.
