Countries with more women in power have less corruption, study finds.
The study found that countries where women are more involved in economic and public life tend to have lower levels of corruption. To figure this out, researchers used a unique method involving national ancestral geography as a way to measure the true impact of gender on corruption. The results showed that previous estimates of the relationship between women's influence and corruption were not accurate, and that women's participation actually has a significant effect on reducing corruption levels.
