Cyber and Space Property Ownership Upends Traditional Laws
This article explores the idea of property in two unusual places: cyberspace and outer space. With advancements in technology, we can now own things in virtual worlds and possibly in space. The authors discuss the challenges of applying property laws to these new areas. Although both fields raise unique issues, they also share some common questions about how property rights can be enforced in these non-traditional locations. The study points out some similarities and differences between Earth-bound property laws and the rules needed for virtual and outer space property.
