Small Businesses Left Behind in Offshore Outsourcing Boom, Study Finds
Offshore outsourcing research is a new area in business. The goal of this paper was to identify emerging research areas in offshore outsourcing using a systematic literature review. The study found that there is a lack of research on small and medium-sized enterprises in offshore outsourcing. Additionally, research on knowledge and innovation in outsourcing is also limited. The paper highlights the need for more research on the economic aspects of offshore outsourcing and the factors that lead to successful outsourcing. Performance issues and the impact of outsourcing on firm performance are key areas that require further investigation.
