The study looked at how introducing crossbred cows to small farms in Ethiopia affected food security. They wanted to see if this new technology helped or hurt the farmers. They found that using crossbred cows increased food security for the households involved in the project. It also boosted incomes for women and improved food consumption. Overall, the intensified dairy production had positive effects on agricultural market surplus.
