More Political Knowledge Leads to Increased Trust in the EU
The article explores how Romanian citizens' trust in the EU is related to their political knowledge from 2002 to 2009. By analyzing data from surveys, it was found that as citizens know more about the EU, they trust it more. Despite increasing knowledge as Romania's accession to the EU approached, citizens still had low levels of political knowledge. Additionally, Romanian citizens tended to overestimate their knowledge about the EU.
