China's financial markets are becoming more connected to the world despite being seen as isolated. By analyzing China's integration with major financial markets, it was found that the country has increased its connection with several major markets over the past decade. This integration has even grown during the current financial crisis. This suggests that China's financial markets are not as insulated as commonly believed.
