Endogeneity correction in market models may hinder accurate predictions.
Market response models need to account for potential endogeneity in the data to get accurate results. It's common to test these models by predicting outcomes in a separate sample. Contrary to expectations, correcting for endogeneity in the model actually leads to worse predictions in similar samples. If you want accurate parameter estimates, use an exogenous sample for validation. If you care more about prediction accuracy, don't correct for endogeneity in the model.
