South Asia not ready for common currency, risks losing autonomy.
The study looked at whether South Asian countries are a good fit for sharing a common currency. They used a special model to analyze different types of economic shocks. The results showed that local issues have a bigger impact than regional or global ones. This is different from what was seen in European countries. Overall, the researchers found that South Asia isn't ready to have a single currency yet. It seems that losing control over their own money might not be worth the benefits of using a shared currency.
