The study looked at how rural households in Guangdong Province handle their waste. Researchers surveyed 169 villages and found that most households mainly produce kitchen waste. While many villages have rules for managing waste, only a few separate waste for recycling. Villages have better waste collection facilities than waste treatment facilities. People in these villages are willing to help protect the environment.
