Global food prices are expected to stay high due to various factors. This research studied the impact of this on 28 African countries with an innovative modeling tool called CAPRI. The model looked at how rising oil prices affect food costs, both in production (like making fertilizer) and demand (like using crops for biofuels). The study found that higher oil prices raise food prices, posing challenges for African countries.
