LDCs at Risk of Losing Trade Preferences, Facing Worsening Economic Situation
The EU's 'Everything But Arms' initiative has limited benefits for Least Developed Countries (LDCs) and may actually harm them if the EU changes its trade policies. LDCs could lose out due to preference erosion and higher prices in the global market. To help LDCs, developed countries should provide other forms of development assistance, and LDCs should work on improving their own trade policies.
