Economics and public choice use models to provide new and sometimes shocking perspectives on economic and political issues. These arguments are based on analyzing interactions and mechanisms that can't be directly seen. Public choice aims to influence economics by offering different arguments. The arguments made by public choice for these two tasks are likely to be distinct.
