Trade liberalization is expected to benefit the world economy and reduce poverty. Different models have been used to predict these benefits, but they have shown varying results. A new study used a global model to estimate that full trade liberalization could increase world income by $100 billion after 10 years. This reform would help developing countries and least-developed countries grow their income faster.
