Small firms in Poland face financial constraints hindering growth and job creation
The study looked at how small and medium-sized businesses in Poland get money to grow. They found that most of these businesses don't borrow a lot of money and don't make much profit. Bigger companies borrow more money and use trade credit. Profitable companies borrow less money from outside sources. Companies in competitive markets borrow more money. Small businesses create the most jobs in Poland, but they struggle to grow because of financial problems. If the business environment improves, like having better credit information, these small businesses could grow more.
