Chilean firms, especially small and medium ones, struggle to get enough money to grow. Big companies in Chile have lots of options for getting funds, but smaller ones have a hard time. The author looked at why this happens and found that smaller firms face challenges in getting money from banks and the stock market. Chile has good financial markets, but smaller businesses still have trouble getting the funds they need to expand.
