The article discusses the challenges and opportunities in rural areas of Ukraine. It points out that the main issue is the lack of a clear rural development policy. To improve the situation, Ukraine should implement a long-term rural policy like the European Union countries. This policy should focus on local action groups and non-farm activities to boost the rural economy and enhance the standard of living for rural residents. By adopting these measures, rural areas in Ukraine can see positive changes in their socio-economic situation.
